Supervision
I am a fully qualified supervisor of counselling and psychotherapy practice embedded in a full range of practice settings. I have been supervising individuals, groups and teams for nearly 30 years, with a particular expertise in safeguarding and working with risk.
As a Professor in a university setting, supervising students for their Master's and doctoral research, I have extensive experience of research supervision and research consultation across a number of qualitative methods.
My supervision work is carried out online via Zoom or MS Teams.

Consultation and Policy Development
As a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor / Psychotherapist, and a Professor in Counselling Professions and Mental Health, I have practiced as a fully-qualified and registered psychotherapist for over 35 years.
My working background includes working in health and social care statutory settings, mental health crisis work, supervising therapy in primary and secondary school settings, further and higher education, in the third sector and independent practice. As such, my psychotherapeutic experience as a therapist and fully qualified therapy supervisor is extensive.
I am able to offer a variety of different consultative options, including guidance on organisational and policy development (particularly in the field of mental health and risk management), working with Trustees to support effective governance, as well as developing team and organisational culture.
